Curated by Felicity Langthorne in the Front and Back Galleries, “Once Upon a Time” is a group show based on fairytales with a twist!! Artists have made work in their preferred medium which investigates the nature of such stories. These tales’ strong connection to childhood innocence distorts overtime as their meaning and imagery becomes more sinister and disturbing. An uncanny feeling emanates from tales of wolves gobbling up grannies, ogres on the prowl and witches roasting stray children……..
